J\u00f8rn Sloth<\/b>\u00a0(f\u00f8dt\u00a05. september<\/a>\u00a01944<\/a>\u00a0i\u00a0Sj\u00f8rring<\/a>) er en dansk skakspiller, som har opn\u00e5et titlen\u00a0stormester<\/a>\u00a0i\u00a0korrespondanceskak<\/a>\u00a0og vundet\u00a0verdensmesterskabet<\/a>\u00a0i denne disciplin af skakspillet i det 8. VM, spillet fra\u00a01975<\/a>\u00a0\u2013\u00a01980<\/a>\u00a0Han er den yngste spiller nogensinde, der har opn\u00e5et titlen. Han er uddannet sprogl\u00f8jtnant i\u00a0russisk<\/a>, har taget eksamen som cand. mag i russisk og har undervist i gymnasiet i russisk.[<\/span>1]<\/span><\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n

Karriere<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

J\u00f8rn Sloth vandt i 1962\u00a0DM<\/a>\u00a0i\u00a0skak<\/a>\u00a0for juniorer, og i\u00a01964<\/a>\u00a0tog han den uofficielle\u00a0EM<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 titel for juniorer i\u00a0Groningen<\/a>. Han er uddannet som\u00a0cand. mag.<\/a>, og foretrak allerede som nyuddannet tilv\u00e6relsen som gymnasiel\u00e6rer og familiefar for en tilv\u00e6relse som professionel skakspiller. Han var p\u00e5 det danske hold ved\u00a0OL<\/a>\u00a0i skak i 1972 og har i alt haft 52 landskampe for Danmark. Siden 1975 har han mest spillet korrespondanceskak, men deltager stadig af og til i almindelige skakturneringer. Fx vandt han i 2011 det nordiske mesterskab for seniorer (over 65 \u00e5r) i\u00a0Reykjavik<\/a>\u00a0foran 3 stormestre.[<\/span>2]<\/span><\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n
